When running at idle the pressure jumps to 80 psi, oscillating between 75 and 85. Disconnecting the vacuum line to the regulator has no effect on the pressure. The dual outlet OEM type fuel filter acts like a pressure regulator. It has a metered output orifice on the return line side which reduces the pressure going to the inlet of the carburetor.
